Park Store Info
The Benson Park Store is operated by the “Friends of Benson Park” and is located in the front section of the Elephant Barn structure. It was started back in 2012 with cold drinks being sold out of a cooler in front of the barn.
The current structure opened in 2016, was designed & built by Richard Tassi, a former FOBP Board member, a Hudson resident and retired architect, along with a dedicated team of volunteers. The store features a beautiful high wood ceiling and wooden walls, and has an HVAC system providing heat & air-conditioning. A few memorabilia items adorn the walls and a large Toy Soldier which was once displayed on the Town Common stands to welcome visitors.
We offer a variety of Hershey ice creams, cold drinks, snacks, souvenirs, t-shirts, books & more! We accept all payment types including cash, credit cards, Apple Pay, & Google Pay. All profits on goods sold go to our mission of conservation, community & commitment to Benson Park and the opening of the “Benson’s Museum & Discovery Center”.
The store is open from April through October, Saturday & Sunday, 12-4 PM (weather permitting). Many FOBP Board members and their families have been volunteering at the store over the years. We need your help!
We encourage new Volunteers to inquire at the store or click the “Volunteer Application” and submit the form.
