The Friends of Benson Park and Benson Park Advisory Committee are excited to hold the annual Cardboard Sled Race!

👥 Age Divisions
- Elementary: Pre-K – 10
- Junior: 11 – 17
- Adult: 18 – 100
🏆 Sled Judging Categories
- Best Race Time: Timed run down the hill
- Most Innovative: Design, durability, and rule compliance
- Best Theme: Creativity, color, and costumes
🎖️ 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes in each category
✨ 10 total awards, plus a special award for Best Self-Destruction on the course!
📏 Sled Design Rules
- Materials allowed: cardboard, tape, and paint only
- Bottom taping is allowed
- Decorations encouraged
- Costumes welcome (bribing judges encouraged 😉)
- At least one rider per sled
- Any illegal materials = immediate disqualification
📝 All participants must sign a liability release at the Red Elephant Barn before racing.
After registering and donating, sleds will receive a number determining run order.
👢 Plus, a visit from the Little Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe, who may invite you inside to see her holiday decorations!
