Board Member

Bill Zink of Hudson has joined the Friends of Benson Park Board of Directors. Bill grew up in Ohio, but his wife, Linda, is from Rhode Island and as a child she and her family made the trip from Rhode Island every summer to Benson’s Wild Animal Farm! Years later when a work transfer brought Bill and Linda to New England, they settled in Nashua and one of the first places Linda wanted to show Bill was Benson’s. As it turned out, Bill got to experience Benson’s in 1987, the last season the park was open. He is grateful that he got to see the park in operation!

Bill and Linda moved to Florida in 2004 and returned to New England in 2013, eventually settling in Hudson. Bill is a frequent Benson hiker who describes the park as “Hudson’s gem.” He says, “I have met so many nice people while walking and volunteering here! The atmosphere brings out the best in people and I look forward to working with the other board members to preserve the Benson Park legacy.”
